Argo Conquest Pro Series XTV Review

Why Should You Consider Argo’s Conquest Pro Series XTVs as your preferred commercial XTVs?

The Conquest Series is one of two commercial XTV offerings by Argo.

Argo designed the Conquest Pro Series XTVs to get any job done. The Series has six commercial XTVs that can go through varied environments. Conquest Pro XTVs have unstoppable power coupled with impressive technology to ensure the XTVs get to the most remote commercial sites or handle commercial-related tasks.

Companies in mining, exploration, road constructions, recreation, skiing and other related industries can trust Argo Conquest XTVs to handle everything from challenges to pitfalls and get the job done.

Who Should Buy an Argo Conquest Pro Series XTV?

As the name suggests, Conquest Pro Series XTVs are for conquering the outdoors on a professional level. In fact, this series is a professional version of the Conquest Series that is part of Argo’s recreational XTV offering.

Companies with operations in remote areas characterized by bad roads, swamps, water, mud, logs, shrubs, etc., need XTVs specially meant to conquer all conditions imaginable. In fact, companies in mining, road construction, emergency response, and related industries need commercial XTVs to make their work easier.

Main Features of Argo Conquest Pro Series XTVs

Argo's Conquest Pro Series has six XTV offerings namely; Pro 800 XT, Pro 950 XT, Pro 800 XT-L, Pro 950 XT-L, Pro 800 XT-X, and Pro 950 XT-X. Before differentiating these six models from each other, it's important to look at their similarities and why they stand out as a commercial XTV offering.

Main Similarities Between Argo Conquest Pro Series XTVs

Superior Argo ITC (Instant Torque Clutch)

Conquest Pro Series Argo XTVs all have the ITC, which is a proprietary clutch system. The new instant torque clutch has been made to offer seamless gear shifting that makes maximum use of the Argo's powerful XTV engines. The ITC, alongside other impressive features discussed below (like a new transmission feature), boosts torque and acceleration over 25% when compared to older features.

Superior XTV Transmission

Argo Conquest Pro XTVs also have a better transmission system than other XTV brands on sale today. Admiral transmission is composed of complex gearing mechanisms that offer a superior driving experience. The ride is not only smoother but gentler, with notable differences like a zero turning radius when working with superior steering features.

Temperature Control

All Argo Conquest Pro Series XTVs also feature superior temperature control features. For maximum passenger comfort, Argo has installed heat-reflective and heat absorptive materials in the XTVs. The heat from the engine and exhaust is effectively redirected away from passengers providing comfort levels foreign in many commercial XTVs today.

Strong, Durable and Functional Rims & Tires

All Argo Conquest Pro Series XTVs have rims and tires that can handle the most brutal commercial XTV applications imaginable. The XTVs feature Argo’s proprietary AirLock Steel/Aluminium rims capable of operating smoothly under a wide range of conditions. The tires can operate with low pressure while still adhering firmly to the rims. This feature makes Conquest Pro Series XTVs 30% smoother than other XTVs over rugged terrain.

Winches & Brush Guards

Winches and brush guards are a standard feature with all Argo Conquest Pro Series XTVs. The six Conquest Pro Series XTVs all have a 4,500 lbs WARN winch mounted on the front and brush guard that gives the XTVs the power to go through vegetation, and other obstacles in commercial extraction applications.

Automatic Chain Lubrication

XTVs are prone to chain problems. Argo's Conquest Pro Series XTVs feature an auto chain lubrication system that dispenses oil automatically by the second, eliminating tedious maintenance tasks and common XTV chain problems. This feature isn't common in many commercial XTV brands out there today.

Other similarities

The XTVs share the same towing capacity of 907 kgs or 2,000 lbs and steel airlock rims. The XTVs also have the same 18-inch rubber tracks and ground clearance (9-inches tires and 10-inches track clearance). The Conquest Pro Series XTVs also come in the same two-colour options, namely green and industrial yellow.

Main Differences Between Argo Conquest Pro Series XTVs

If you wish to know the differences between Conquest Pro Series XTVs to make a more informed decision when choosing one from the rest, here are the main differences.

1. Engine Differences

Argo made two slightly different engines with the Conquest Pro Series. Some XTVs have the 800 series engine, while others have the 950 series engine.

The Pro 950 XT, Pro 950 XTL, and Pro 950 XTX have the most powerful engine i.e., 40 hp engine.

The Pro 800 XT, Pro 800 XT-L, and Pro 800 XT-X have the least powerful engine i.e., 30 hp engine.

The engines also have cooling differences, with some being liquid-cooled while others are fan-cooled. Nevertheless, all Conquest Pro Series XTVs are powerful enough to handle the most demanding commercial XTV applications. They are also fuel-efficient.

4. Fuel Capacity Differences

Which Argo Conquest Pro Series XTV has the largest fuel tank?

A commercial XTV needs as much range as possible to reach far-away sites. The Conquest Pro 800 XT has a 33-litre fuel tank. The other XTVs have a 32-litre fuel tank.

5. Speed Differences

Which Argo Conquest Pro XTV is the fastest?

Some commercial XTV applications need speed more than others. If speed is of utmost importance, choose the Conquest Pro 950 XT or Pro 950 XT-X, which are both capable of reaching 27 km/h. The Pro 950 XT-L is equally fast at 26 km/h. The other three can only reach 19 km/h.

Models Speed on land.

VII. Size/Dimension/ROPS Differences

Which Argo Conquest Pro XTV is the biggest?

Which Argo Conquest Pro XTV is the smallest?

Size/dimensions are important when selecting a commercial XTV for notable reasons like portability. All XTVs have the same length and width (125 by 65 inches). However, there are height differences for those XTVs that have ROPS (Roll-over Protection Structure). ROPS makes an XTV taller. All Argo Conquest Pro Series XTVs have ROPS apart from the Pro 800 XT and Pro 950 XT.

Models ROPS (Roll-over Protection Structure)
Pro 950 XT-X, Pro 950 XT-L, Pro 800 XT-L, Pro 800 XT-X Yes

If roll-over protection is the most important, all XTVs in this series will work great apart from the Pro 800 XT and Pro 950 XT. If you want an XTV that can go anywhere, you should consider the amphibious options only Pro 800 XT and 950 XT.
